CENTRAL LIONS CLUB OF ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP was chartered on April 3, 1962 by District Governor William F. Eberhardt.

It was co-sponsored by the Boston-Greenock- Mount Vernon Lions Club and the Elizabeth Lions Club.

The first president was Joseph T. Webb, and the first Secretary was Raymond D. McKown.
